QAHE and Pebble Hills University Award Distinguished Professorship in IT and Cyber Security to Dr. Vladimir Bunic
The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) and Pebble Hills University (PHU) are pleased to announce that Dr. Vladimir Bunic, Ph.D., has been conferred the Distinguished Professorship Award in IT and Cyber Security.
This prestigious award recognizes Dr. Bunic’s outstanding contributions to the fields of converged security, cyber physical systems protection, digital transformation, and enterprise IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC). Dr. Bunic currently serves as Director of the Converged Security Institute and holds multiple professorial appointments in IT and Cyber Security at universities internationally. In these roles, Dr. Bunic brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise and strategic leadership, advancing the integration of physical and cyber security to strengthen organizational resilience worldwide.
Dr. Bunic holds a Ph.D. in Cyber Security, DBA, several Masters and Postgraduate Degree’s in Digital Transformation, Legal, Businesses and Digital Resilience and an impressive portfolio of advanced professional qualifications, including Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), GRC Professional (GRCP™), GRC Auditor (GRCA™), and Certified Project Director (CPD). He has recently completed a Postdoctoral Research Certificate in IT Strategy and Transformation through QAHE UK and continues to pursue excellence through multiple postgraduate programs in digital transformation, international law, and organizational leadership.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Bunic has served in senior roles across global organizations, including Nestlé, Atos, CySecNet, and Business Technology Academy. His professional experience includes the design of advanced security architectures, leadership of incident response initiatives, development of cybersecurity training programs, and mentoring of the next generation of security professionals. His work spans critical domains such as Cyber Physical Systems Security, ISO 27001 compliance, NIST frameworks, and the convergence of digital and physical security strategies.
