QAHE Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SAFE Education & Strategic Research Network
The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE) is pleased to announce that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed with SAFE Education & Strategic Research Network (SAFE) to strengthen cooperation in educational quality assurance, professional standards, and global recognition.
The MOU establishes a structured framework for collaboration between the two organizations, focusing on shared goals and mutually beneficial activities that support members and affiliated institutions worldwide.
In the agreed areas of cooperation, both parties will work together on accreditation and quality assurance, including aligning quality assurance frameworks and providing guidance on international accreditation standards to SAFE’s affiliated institutions. The parties will also explore the mutual recognition of standards, including certification, accreditation, and professional development programs, to help facilitate global mobility for education and quality assurance professionals.
Additionally, QAHE and SAFE will jointly promote events and activities through cross-promotion of webinars, conferences, workshops, and training sessions, and will exchange expertise and best practices by sharing research, data, and innovative methodologies related to educational quality assurance and professional development.
The MOU also includes an invitation pathway for qualified leaders from SAFE to be considered for QAHE Honorary Fellowship/Membership, recognizing their contributions to the education and quality management field.
This agreement is non-financial in nature—no financial commitment is made by either party. Any future activities that involve financial obligations will be negotiated separately and documented through specific Project Agreements.
The MOU will remain in effect for five (5) years from the date of signing, and may be renewed by mutual written consent or terminated with 60 days’ written notice by either party.
QAHE looks forward to building on this partnership and supporting stronger quality assurance practices, professional development, and global educational excellence through collaborative action with SAFE.
