QAHE and IFPU Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Quality and Recognition in Global Education

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE) is proud to announce the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Federation of Private Universities (IFPU), marking a milestone in cross-border educational collaboration and quality assurance.

This five-year agreement establishes a cooperative framework between the two organizations to promote reciprocal recognition, cross-promotional activities, and enhanced quality assurance standards. While it affirms mutual recognition of accreditation and quality assurance practices, it also reinforces that institutions must still adhere to each party’s standard procedures for full accreditation or membership.

As part of this landmark collaboration, QAHE will confer an Honorary Fellowship Award to Dr. José M. M. Castelo Appleton, a distinguished figure in education and current leader of IFPU, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to academic development.

The MOU highlights key commitments, including joint marketing efforts, the exchange of informational materials, and opportunities for IFPU member institutions to engage with QAHE’s internationally respected accreditation services. Notably, the continued recognition is contingent upon Appleton Private University maintaining its accredited status with QAHE.

Both parties reaffirmed their dedication to confidentiality, best practices in education, and collaborative innovation to empower institutions across the globe.

This partnership exemplifies QAHE’s growing global network and its mission to uplift educational excellence through strategic alliances.
