John is a versatile, ambitious Advanced Practitioner in Emergency & Pre Hospital Care, brining extensive skills and experience as a clinical manager and a former charge nurse.  Working overseas he has dedicated his career to monitoring the health, well-being and medical needs of personnel across various settings.  John is known for his ability to meet targets and deadlines in challenging situations.  John excels at organising and communicating effectively at all levels. His commitment to personal growth and development drives him to be  a valuable asset to any organisation or project.

In a recent role as a specialist medic and team leader he was responsible for maintaining health records and conducting health & risk assessments for chronic conditions affecting displaced persons.  He managed the daily healthcare needs of migrants including children, and coordinated medical evacuations while liaising with foreign health agencies.  His leadership in weekly medical training for first responders further underscores his dedication to improving health outcomes in humanitarian contexts.

John previously served as a health advisor/practitioner for an International drilling company where he lead health promotion initiatives and engaged with the workforce in healthy living practices.  As a clinical skills instructor he also oversaw medical records, training and development and prevention strategies to mitigate health outbreaks, thus demonstrating his commitment to proactive healthcare management.

John’s background also includes a significant international role as an Emergency Response Coordinator for the International Medics on the Fehmarn Belt Project, where he assisted in the design and implementation of the emergency response plans for medical emergencies.  John is dedicated to the mental health and welfare of staff working in remote and hostile areas reflecting on his holistic approach to healthcare.

John is recognised for his extensive skill set which includes training, risk assessments and effective communication is high pressure environments.

Looking ahead John aims to leverage his diverse skills and experience with future roles within public health, he is currently enrolled onto a masters in public health where he intends to specialise within health disparities and inequalities.  This cements his unwavering commitment to ensuring excellence and humanitarian services is continued with his professional journey, as he continues aiming to make positive impact within the healthcare and humanitarian fields.
