QAHE and Kennedy University Confer Honorary Professor of Practice (HPoP) to Dr. Nahum Rosenberg
The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre‑Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE), in partnership with Kennedy University (KU), is honored to announce that Dr. Nahum Rosenberg has been awarded the distinguished title of Honorary Professor of Practice (HPoP). This joint recognition celebrates his exceptional contributions to orthopedic surgery, musculoskeletal research, medical education, and international scientific collaboration.
Dr. Rosenberg’s career spans more than three decades of clinical excellence, academic leadership, and pioneering research. His CV documents an extensive academic background, including an M.D. (cum laude) from the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, an MOrthop (cum laude) from Tel‑Aviv University, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Portsmouth . His academic appointments include serving as Assistant Clinical Professor at the Technion for over a decade and as Professor at I.M. Sechenov State University in Moscow .
A highly respected orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Rosenberg served as Senior Orthopedic Surgeon at Rambam Medical Center from 1998 to 2021 and led the Laboratory of Musculoskeletal Research for more than a decade . His professional experience also includes international clinical fellowships in Melbourne and postdoctoral research at Oxford University and the University of Nottingham .
Dr. Rosenberg’s research achievements are extensive and influential. His CV lists over 200 publications, including high‑impact papers in orthopedics, biomechanics, tissue engineering, and bone cell metabolism. His work on mechanotransduction, osteoblast stimulation, and orthopedic clinical outcomes has been widely cited, with an H‑index of 20 and i10‑index of 30 . He has also authored and edited multiple books, including Biophysical Osteoblast Stimulation for Bone Grafting and Regeneration (Springer, 2023) .
His leadership extends beyond academia. Dr. Rosenberg has served on numerous editorial boards, including the American Journal of Biomedical Engineering, World Journal of Orthopedics, and Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology . He has also been a scientific expert and evaluator for the European Commission’s Horizon health research programs . His CV highlights decades of service on national medical committees, including the Ethical Committee for Human Research (Helsinki Committee) and the Committee for Surgical Specialties of the Israel Medical Association .
Dr. Rosenberg is also a dedicated educator, having taught orthopedic surgery, anatomy, biomechanics, and sports medicine to undergraduate, graduate, and medical students for more than 25 years . His mentorship has shaped the careers of numerous orthopedic surgeons who now hold leadership positions in major hospitals .
