Dr. Johnrey Limpag Piad
Dr. Johnrey Limpag Piad is an accomplished educator, English language lecturer, and applied linguistics professional with extensive experience in higher education and language teaching. He has taught General English, Academic English, Business English, and communication skills across universities and language institutions in Vietnam and the Philippines, demonstrating versatility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to student learning.
He holds a remarkable academic profile that includes a Doctor of Philosophy in English Language Teaching, a Professional Doctorate in Teaching and Learning, a Master of Arts in Education with TESOL, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in Physical Education, Health, and Music. In addition, he is a Licensed Professional Teacher and a TESOL IV-certified educator, reflecting both his academic depth and his practical preparation for international teaching environments.
Throughout his career, Mr. Piad has worked with a wide range of learners, from schoolchildren to university students and working professionals. His teaching experience includes roles at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh (UEH), University of Management and Technology, Hoa Sen University, HUTECH University, Van Lang University, FPT University, Vietnam National University-International University, Saigon American English School, and several schools in the Philippines. His background also includes teaching Music, Arts, Physical Education, and Health, which adds further breadth to his educational expertise.
Mr. Piad has been recognised for his contributions to teaching through several honours, including the Asian Education Award 2024 for Excellence in Teaching and Lecturer of the Year in Bangkok, Thailand. He has also received multiple “Best Teacher of the Month” awards, reflecting consistent excellence in classroom practice and student engagement.
In addition to teaching, he has contributed to research in English language acquisition, technology-enhanced learning, and business education, with published works linked to his ORCID profile. He is known for his enthusiasm, adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and ability to create interactive and engaging learning environments. Currently based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, he continues to contribute to the advancement of English language education and applied linguistics on an international level.
