Markos C. Komninakis
Markos C. Komninakis is a highly respected senior lecturer and module leader in tourism and hospitality, with over 35 years of global academic experience. His extensive career spans various roles, including business consultant, certified trainer, and career coach, demonstrating his versatile expertise in the hospitality sector. Markos has dedicated his professional life to educating and mentoring future leaders in the industry, making significant contributions to both academic and practical realms of hospitality.
Markos graduated with an A.A.S. in Hotel Management from Greece and further pursued his education in the United States, obtaining a B.Sc. in Economics from City University of New York, as well as a B.A. in Personnel Management and an M.A. in Interpersonal Communication and Consulting from Ohio University. His diverse educational background equips him with a comprehensive understanding of both the business and interpersonal aspects of the hospitality industry.
Currently employed at Aegean College and Essex University in Athens, Greece, Markos teaches a wide range of subjects including Business Strategic Management, Leadership, and Crisis Management. He has lectured at various prestigious institutions worldwide, including the University of Essex, Bangor University, and Canterbury Christ Church University, further enhancing his international reputation.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Markos is a published author in hospitality and interpersonal communication, contributing valuable insights to the field. He has also played a pivotal role in numerous consulting and staff training projects across diverse organizations globally. As a keynote speaker, he shares his knowledge and experiences to inspire others in the business and hospitality sectors.
