Sandro Nuno Ferreira de Serpa
andro Nuno Ferreira de Serpa is a distinguished Portuguese academic currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, University of the Azores. Born on July 24, 1974, Dr. Serpa has made significant contributions to the fields of sociology and education, particularly focusing on organizational culture and educational strategies.
Dr. Serpa earned his PhD in Education with a specialization in Sociology of Education from the University of the Azores in 2013. His doctoral thesis, titled “As dinâmicas nas (re)configurações da cultura organizacional,” was unanimously approved and reflects his deep engagement with the dynamics of organizational culture. Prior to his PhD, he obtained a Master’s degree in Sociology from Nova University of Lisbon in 2004, where he graduated with a commendable classification of Very Good. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 1999 at Lusófona University, achieving a final average grade of 16.
In his professional career, Dr. Serpa has progressed from an Assistant at the Department of Educational Sciences to his current role as an Associate Professor. He has been actively involved in various academic and research initiatives, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in his fields of interest. His research encompasses a range of topics, including the sociology of education and the social impact of educational practices.
